This section covers material damage for both buildings and landlords contents, caused by each of the perils as they appear in the policy wording.

The standard perils operative are Fire, Lightning, Earthquake, Aircraft, Malicious Damage, Storm, Theft, Flood, Escape of Water, Sprinkler Leakage, Impact, Accidental Damage and Subsidence.

Material Damage contains a range of automatic extensions including:-

• Capital additions
• Personal possessions
• Theft damage to buildings
• Additional metered electric, water, gas or domestic heating oil charges
• Fly tipping
• Clearing / cleaning of drains

• Removal of nests
• Fire brigade damage to gardens
